The Aglianico grape undoubtedly has the potential for producing some of Italy’s great wines and you can see why in this single vineyard wine from one of the best growers of the region. It is produced from the volcanic soils that are a feature of this part of Italy inland from Naples. A firm earthy nose is followed on the palate by lovely fruitiness and a ripeness of flavour.
A good balanced wine and a nice long finish.
