Talamonti

Talamonti was established in 2001 to realise the true potential of Abruzzo’s vineyards, noted since Roman times for the quality of its wines, especially the underrated Montepulciano grape. The winemaker, Lucio Matricardi previously worked at top estates in Tuscany and brings with him into this young team a blend of modern expertise and tradition. They are an ambitious team with a mission to create a ‘zero-carbon estate’ well under way using solar and wind energy exclusively as well as aligning with sustainability programme SQNPI – it is clear that Talamonti respect their family values.
