Gaja - Pieve Santa Restituta

Acquired in 1994, this was Gaja’s first foray beyond the wine borders of Piemonte that is centred around a 4th century parish church pieve which conceals beneath it a typically state of the art winery and cellar. Historic estate, historic appelation, future-facing family. Pieve Santa Restituta is located South West of Montalcino village. The parish church, hidden by the century old olive trees and cypresses, and by the 16 hectares of vineyards surrounding it, stands on the property and gives the estate its name. Wine has been made on the property since the 12th century. The Gaja family acquired it in 1994 and produces three Brunellos.
