Castello della Paneretta

Castello della Paneretta is situated in the Chianti Classico area on the western slopes of the dominating hills of the Elsa valley, looking towards San Gimignano with winemaking at the site dating back to the 16th century. This tradition is not grubbed up by nor lost on the Albisetti family – the owners since 1984.
In contra to what they dub “the terrible years of restructuring of vineyards in Tuscany in the sixties and seventies” the estate is now solely planted with 22ha of autochtonous clones of Sangiovese (17ha) and Canaiolo Nero. Under winemaker Nicola Berti, their Chianti and Chianti Riserva are gaining serious recognition in an area where great value can still be found.
