Cascina Castlet

Cascina Castlèt has belonged to the Borio family for generations and the current owner, Maria ‘Mariuccia’ Borio, inherited it from her father in 1970. Over the years she’s sought to modernise the winery and the wines – being the first to introduce such modern labels & unafraid to allow for experimentation in the winery – see the Barbera appasimiento ‘Passum’. A touch of creativity has always gone into the names of their wines and as Mariuccia puts it: “They all have a little secret, a story, which we invite you to try and discover. It’s a matter of ethics and culture. For us, ethics and culture mean respect for the environment and for those who work with it.”
